MMIW and MMIM Presentation

Crazy Horse School grant programs sponsored a MMIW and MMIM presentation to students in the Middle and High School.

Pauletta Red Willow presented to the students in Middle and High School. She spoke to the students about Murdered Missing Indigenous Women (MMIW) and Murdered Missing Indigenous Men (MMIM). She talked to the students about historical trauma and the effects of the boarding schools on the people who attended them.  She talked to the students about awareness and the connection sex trafficking, sexual harassment, sexual assault, and the people who turn up missing each year. Ms. Red Willow talked about the effects of these subjects on the youth today.

Pauletta is the founder of the transitional living program at Maggie’s House and the director. She has many years of experience working with youth in several capacities ranging from program development for emergency shelters to health care services. She is a dedicated advocated for abused, neglected, trafficked, runaway, and homeless youth with over 24 years’ experience as an advocate for children.
